The Noncommutative Choquet Boundary

چکیده

Let S be an operator system – a self-adjoint linear subspace of a unital C∗-algebra A such that 1 ∈ S and A = C∗(S) is generated by S. A boundary representation for S is an irreducible representation π of C∗(S) on a Hilbert space with the property that π S has a unique completely positive extension to C∗(S). The set ∂S of all (unitary equivalence classes of) boundary representations is the noncommutative counterpart of the Choquet boundary of a function system S ⊆ C(X) that separates points of X. It is known that the closure of the Choquet boundary of a function system S is the Šilov boundary of X relative to S. The corresponding noncommutative problem of whether every operator system has “sufficiently many” boundary representations was formulated in 1969, but has remained unsolved despite progress on related issues. In particular, it was unknown if ∂S = ∅ for generic S. In this paper we show that every separable operator system has sufficiently many boundary representations. Our methods use separability in an essential way.

The Noncommutative Choquet Boundary Ii: Hyperrigidity

A (finite or countably infinite) set G of generators of an abstract C∗-algebra A is called hyperrigid if for every faithful representation of A on a Hilbert space A ⊆ B(H) and every sequence of unital completely positive linear maps φ1, φ2, . . . from B(H) to itself, lim n→∞ ‖φn(g)− g‖ = 0,∀g ∈ G =⇒ lim n→∞ ‖φn(a)− a‖ = 0, ∀a ∈ A. We show that one can determine whether a given set G of generato...

The Choquet Boundary of an Operator System

We show that every operator system (and hence every unital operator algebra) has sufficiently many boundary representations to generate the C*-envelope. We solve a 45 year old problem of William Arveson that is central to his approach to non-commutative dilation theory. We show that every operator system and every unital operator algebra has sufficiently many boundary representations to complet...

The Shilov Boundary of an Operator Space and the Characterization Theorems

We study operator spaces, operator algebras, and operator modules, from the point of view of the ‘noncommutative Shilov boundary’. In this attempt to utilize some ‘noncommutative Choquet theory’, we find that Hilbert C∗−modules and their properties, which we studied earlier in the operator space framework, replace certain topological tools. We introduce certain multiplier operator algebras and ...

Generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Hamacher generalized Shapley Choquet integral operators for multicriteria decision making

The interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) which is an extension of the Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy set is a powerful tool for modeling real life decision making problems. In this paper, we propose the emph{generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Hamacher generalized Shapley Choquet integral} (GIVIFHGSCI) and the emph{interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Hamacher general...

Singlet scalar dark matter in noncommutative space

In this paper, we examine the singlet scalar dark matter annihilation to becoming the Standard Model particles in the non-commutative space. In the recent decades, many candidates of dark matter have been offered,  but our information about  the nature of dark matter is still limited. There are such particle candidates as  scalar matetr, fermion, boson, gauge boson, etc.; however, they have nei...
